Essential Oils:

Q: Can I take your essential oils internally?

A: Our Essential and Carrier Oils are pure, and in many cases, food grade. However, we do NOT recommend the casual ingestion of essential oils. They are highly concentrated and have the capacity to cause serious damage if used internally without the necessary expertise required in administering it. This is supported by the International Federation of Aromatherapists that does not recommend ingestion of essential oils unless under the supervision of a Aromatic Medicine Graduate or Medical Doctor who is also qualified in clinical aromatherapy.

Q: Are your essential oils Therapeutic Grade?

A: All essential oils are therapeutic in nature, there is no certifying body to grade them as such. It’s simply a trademarked marketing term.

Q: How do I know that your essential oils are 100% pure?

A: All of our essential oils are tested by Gas Chromatograph by a third party, and we are supplied with a certificate of analysis verifying that our oils are both pure and high quality. We have started listing our GC/MS reports on the oil listings, but have not yet completed all of the listings. If you are looking for one that is not available on our website, you may contact us for the GC/MS report. 

Q: Why are your oils less expensive than the MLM ones I already buy?

A: Because our company is not a Multi-Level Marketing company, we do not have a plethora of sales representatives to pay from each bottle, and have have much less marketing overhead, we are able to keep our costs lower. 

Q: Why are your oils more expensive than those at the farmer's market, pharmacy or online?

A: This is for a number of reasons, but one of the main ones being that online sellers are likely carrying American oil companies. The cost of doing business as a Canadian company is simply much higher in every aspect. We do tend to have a higher cost than many small companies within Canada as well, and this is due to what's in the bottle, as well as the expertise that goes into it. We do not source our oils from the same Canadian supplier that most seem to be getting them from, instead we put the extra cost and time into securing oils that are a higher quality, you are really getting what you pay for. 

Q: What makes your Building Blocks products so safe for my kids?

A: Our certified aromatherapist and cosmetic formulator has spent countless putting together essential oil synergies and safe delivery methods for use specifically with children. The safest and gentlest Essential Oils and product ingredients are chosen, but are still so effective that adults can use them too with success. As business owners with kids of our own, it's extremely important to us that safety is first with the smallest members of your family. We wouldn't give anything to you that we wouldn't use on our own children confidently. 

Product Troubleshooting:

Q: Why is my Butter grainy?

A: Due to the shea butter content in Bum Butter, Nipple Butter, Lip Balm, Muscle and Joint, Belly Butter and any other shea butter containing products, sometimes little granules can form. This happens from temperature irregularities. It does not negatively affect the product, it's still good, just changes the consistency a tad. This happens from the product warming up and cooling. The shea butter melts and sets at a lower temperature than the other ingredients, so it can cause it to separate out of the final product and reform as grains. 

Ordering and Shipping:

Q: How can I track my order?

A: You will be emailed with a tracking order once your order has shipped for orders within Canada. Most international orders will not automatically have tracking. If you would like to upgrade your international shipping to include tracking or insurance, please add this in your notes on checkout, or email us and we will adjust your total accordingly.

Q: How do I order a custom essential oil blend?

A: Once you have ordered your ‘Custom Blend’, we will email you with some questions and we will work with you to create the blend that will be most beneficial to you. Please note that some oils can have interactions with medications and pre existing conditions, so the nature of the questions may be personal.

Q: I need a specific essential oil, but I can’t find it on your product listing.

A: Please contact us with what you are looking for. We are always open to custom orders and special sizing and circumstances.
